Credits include performing in showcase 
exhibitions, appearing in magazines and newspaper 
articles, awarded many first places at the 
National Dance Council of America (NDCA) 
recognized championship competitions in 
amateur/professional and professional categories,
singing on television and choir concerts, film, 
television, produced dance shows, stage 
performances, modeling, and winner of 
international beauty and talent pageants.  
Theresa's students have participated in 
showcases, passed many medal exams, and won first 
places (Pro/Am and Am/Am divisions), as well as, 
Pro/Pro division at the National Dance Council of 
America (NDCA) Championships, such as, 
International Grand Ball (1990 to present), 
San Francisco Open (1990 to 2008), Autumn 
Classic (1990 to present), Holiday Ball, 
City Lights, and others.  Students learn a 
variety of dances and patterns to make them well-
rounded dancers. The many benefits of dancing 
include better health, able to socialize, make 
new friends, attend any party, and many more. 
Theresa is very involved with community, not for 
profit organizations, and fundraising for 
charities. She is the new USA Dance Inc Chapter 
4044 Coordinator and President. USA Dance Inc is 
a non profit organization with more than 150 
Chapters in the United States who focuses on 
helping youths, adults, seniors and disabled 
persons learn to dance socially and competitively 
for the National and World Championships. USA 
Dance competitive youth dancers are selected to 
perform and compete on the famous TV show Dancing 
With The Stars; become a member of this exciting 
organization!
Theresa started performing in the annual 
Christmas and Easter play while attending St. 
Anselm's Catholic School, and graduated from 
Dodge Vocational High School in New York. Holds a 
Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from 
the University of Phoenix, and author of a 
dissertation and book on Health Issues and the 
Benefits of DanceSport for a Doctorates in 
Management (DM).  25 years in the dance industry 
enjoys teaching, and has taught thousands of 
students around the United States. Her students 
and DanceSport Team participate in showcases, and 
have won many 1st places at the National Dance 
Council of America (NDCA) Championships, such as, 
International Grand Ball, San Francisco Open, 
Autumn Classic, Holiday Ball, City Lights, and 
others. Students may compete at the San Francisco 
Salsa Congress, and Cardinal Classic at Stanford 
University, UC Berkeley DanceSport Championships, 
San Jose University DanceSport Championships and

   <title>US Terpsichore Medal Exams (Scheduling)</title>

list. The fee for the examiner is $75 per hour, 
and a day will be scheduled in advance.  The 
examiner will come to Celebrity Ballroom Dance 
Instruction on a specific day to give exams. 
Students take exams to pass Bronze, Silver, or 
Gold (I, II, III, and/or IV). Those who pass the 
exams will receive a certificate from the U. S. 
Terpsichore organization. Taking medal exams will 
help you progress through the levels faster, and 
become a more confident dancer. </description>

ballroom dance scholarship need to submit a 
completed scholarship application, resume, have a 
letter of recommendation, a letter of intent, 
submit a DVD, and audition. You must bring a 
partner; partner does need to be an applicant. 
You must have two routines, and need to supply 
your music.  One routine must be International 
Latin or American Rhythm and other International 
Standard or American Smooth. During the months of 
our festivals there will be Jack and Jill 
competitions, and the winners will be awarded a

   <description>THERESA VELAZQUEZ - Started as a child in the 
Annual Easter and Christmas production, and have 
24 years teaching in the dance business industry. 
Since 1984, I have taught ballroom dances, 
performed around the United States and other 
countries, trained in other forms of dances, and 
competed professionally. I have taught many 
students in 24 years at Arthur Murray&#39;s, Fred 
Astaire&#39;s, Independent Schools, and the Community 
Centers. Some of my credits include performing in 
showcase exhibitions, National Dance Council of 
America (NDCA) recognized championship 
competitions, singing on television and choir 
concerts, film, television,stage performances, 
modeling, winner of 7 International Beauty and 
Talent Pageant Titles (Miss International 5 
Boroughs 1977, Ms. People&#39;s Choice World Elite 
2003, Ms. International Elite 2004, 2005, 2006, 
Ms. International Pageant Gal 2004, Ms. Universal 
Gem 2004), and some Nationals, including 
optionals, such as, Best Overall Model, Best 
Essay, International United Nations Fitness 
Winner 2005, and Best Platform. I hold a Master&#39;s 
in Business Administration (MBA) from the 
University of Phoenix, and presently working on a 
Doctorates of Management (DM) at the University 
of Phoenix. Author of a dissertation/book on the 
topic of Health Issues and the Benefits of 
DanceSport. I have personally met with many 
politicians and worked with celebrities in the 
years performing in pageants, in the 
entertainment business, and while visiting 
relatives in Puerto Rico, such as, Private 
Secretary Lic. Carlos Garcia to former 
President of Mexico, Governor Carlos Romero 
Barcelo&#39;s First Lady and wife Kate Romero of 
Puerto Rico, Mayor of Puerto Rico Felicia Rincon 
de Gautier of San Juan (visit her museum in 
Puerto Rico). Mayor Abraham Beame of New 
York,Lic. Miguel Aleman and President of the 
Mexican National Tourist Council, and Lic. 
Alejandro Gomez Maganda, Official Mayor of the 
Mexican National Tourists Council. I also met 
former Mayor Felix Luis Hernandez of Villalba, 
Puerto Rico, and lovely wife Mrs. America 
Hernandez (my relative) during my first vacation 
with family in Puerto Rico as a young girl. While 
visiting with (mom&#39;s aunt) Mrs. America Hernandez 
and the family during the summer of 2004 I met 
with the present Mayor of Villalba, P.R. and his 
wife, Waldemar Rivera Torres during the Fiestas 
Patronales. Mayor Torres is very involved with 
the Fiestas (celebrating the islands saint, St. 
John the Bapist). Celebrities I have met 
personally during pageants, fashion 
shows/charities, movies, and other events include 
Tito Puente, Eddie Miro, former Miss Universe 
Marisol Malaret, Milta Silva, Jacobo Zabludovski, 
Raul Velasco, Perez Prado, Eddie Vega of Star

and met with many well-known Champion celebrity 
dancers, Pro/Am champions, and National Dance

Culture Openhouse (with Lodi&#39;s Mayor as speaker), 
American Library Associaton Teen Read week, The 
Central Valley Youth Symphony (Senator Machado 
was a special guest in 2006 and an alumni), 
community centers practice parties, Animal 
Friends Connection Humane Societies Annual Wine 
n&#39; Dine FURR BALL, Daughter&#39;s of Isabella Queen 
of Peace, St. Christopher&#39;s Parish Festival, 
Annual City of Lodi Nutcracker Production, Mayor 
Chavez Task Force for People with Disabilities, 
and Disability Awareness Fair. DanceSport team 
members have represented their city in the Annual 
Autumn Dance Classic for 2006 and 2007, winning 
many 1st places. My DanceSport Team student, Dr. 
Micheal Moreno represented the City of Lodi in 
the International Grand Ball for 2008 in Pro/Am 
for the Foxtrot freestyles. Ballroom Dancing will 
be in the upcoming Olympics, and I look forward 
to coaching others and uniting the world through
